why?

kodak's advanced photo system doesn't get much respect. in fact, most photo aficionado's aren't even aware of it's existence. i thought i'd create a little spot on the web to benefit people like me who use aps cameras and actually like them. i will try in future postings to share some of the things that i've learned about aps and dispel some of the negative opinions i've read elsewhere.

created at the dawn of the digital era, aps can be described as the right technology at the wrong time. it's the best prop plane in the jet age. today, there are many people like me who own and use digital cameras but are not completely satisfied with them. i won't go into the advantages of film over digital as that subject has been beaten to death elsewhere. there are still many people who use film cameras but almost all of them use 35mm film. for the professional, clearly 35mm is the way to go but for the amateur photographer who doesn't do their own darkroom work, aps has a few key advantages.
